Short Courses and Workshops

The Organizing Committee will be requesting proposals for short courses and workshops starting on September 1, 2025 with acceptance notification on November 17. The Organizing Committee welcomes feedback on what topics might be of most interest (e.g. fishway design principles, hydraulic modeling, dam removal case studies, etc). For coordination on topics if you have an interest in conducting a workshop or short course then please contact us as shown below.

Short courses or workshops should be proposed for half or full day and will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026. Rooms at the UC Davis Conference Center are reserved 8:00 am – 6:00 pm and can be configured by size and format (lecture, classroom, round table, etc.).

Proposals for workshops should contain the following information:

Names and affiliation of the instructors

Costs: proponents need to indicate the costs for the proposed course/workshop

Minimum and maximum number of attendees

Course description (about 300 words)

Duration (half or full day)
